On the 22nd of March each year, the United Nations recognizes the importance of addressing the global water crisis, through World Water Day.

Globally, 844 million people lack access to clean water. Without clean water, families and communities are unable to escape poverty for generations. Children

drop out of school and parents are unable to provide for their families.

Women and children are worst affected — children because they are more vulnerable to diseases of dirty water and women and girls because they often bear the burden of carrying water for their families for an estimated 200 million hours each day.

To raise awareness of the above issues, Tecroveer and the Water Warrior Foundation hosted a fun walk to simulate the trek that women make to collect water. Employees had the choice to walk with any size bucket of water, on a 3.5km route or 7.3km route. This was our very

first Water Warrior Walk, but the company plans to expand this into a large annual community event that will make a much larger impact.
